These draft terms describe, in plain language, the basis on which GPT-Shield is made available during early access. They will be superseded by a binding agreement before general availability.

Early access

GPT-Shield is offered to early-access participants for evaluation. Features and availability may change as the product develops.

Acceptable use

Use GPT-Shield only on data and systems you are authorized to protect, and in compliance with applicable law and your own organization's policies.

No warranty (draft)

During early access, GPT-Shield is provided as is, without warranties. GPT-Shield reduces the risk of sensitive data reaching AI systems; it is one layer of a defense-in-depth program, not a guarantee against every exposure.

Data handling

Our handling of data is described in the Privacy page. In short: detection runs locally and raw sensitive values are never stored.
